The film

Feadship Project 826 unveiled: 80m of radical design & space
Project 827 joins the Feadship fleet

Project 826, 80 metres. A second launch film covers Project 827.

The problem

Feadship occupies a category of one. There is no comparable product, no comparable price point, no comparable level of craft.

Which means the challenge is not explaining what a Feadship is. It is communicating what it means, and emotion is the hardest thing to manufacture on screen. The audience compounds the difficulty: global, private, and almost impossible to reach through conventional media.

It started with one question

How do you bring a luxury superyacht brand to life on social, in a way that feels as extraordinary as the vessels themselves?

What was needed was something that did not exist yet.

Three recurring jobs, one standard

The partnership today is not a campaign. It is three kinds of work that come round again and again, each with a different problem attached.

Yacht launches

The most significant moment in a vessel’s life, happening once, on a date nobody controls. There is no second take and no reshoot. The two most recent are Project 826, 80 metres, and Project 827 at 71.76 metres.

Refits

The opposite problem. A yacht that already exists, months of work, and a story that is about change rather than reveal, which means the film depends on material captured before anyone can see what the result will be.

Company events

Feadship’s own gatherings, filmed for an audience that was largely in the room. A film for people who were there cannot simply report what happened.

The three do not share solutions. A launch is unrepeatable, so everything is preparation against a fixed date. A refit runs over months, so the problem is continuity across a gap long enough for the yacht, the light and the crew to change. A company event is watched mostly by people who attended it, so the film has to find something they did not see from where they were standing.

Every piece is produced natively for its platform, without sacrificing the visual quality the brand demands. Those two requirements are usually traded against each other; holding both is the reason the partnership has lasted.

It began with a concept that did not exist yet

The implied answer most brands reach for is higher production value: a more beautiful film about the same thing. That does not work when the yachts are already beautiful and footage of them is already everywhere.

So the partnership opened with Soundwaves by Feadship, a live musical concept staging performances by artists including Fedde le Grand and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano at locations nobody had filmed before: a helicopter platform in Makkum, and aboard a Feadship in Monaco. The move was to stop filming the yacht and start using it, as a venue and a stage, so the vessel proved its own extraordinariness by hosting something extraordinary rather than by being photographed well.

That was several years ago and it is not what the partnership is now. It is here because it is how the relationship started and it explains why it continued.

Frequently asked questions

Who produced Feadship's Project 826 launch film?

DOT Video Agency produced the Project 826 launch film for Feadship, an 80-metre yacht unveiled in 2026, and the launch film for Project 827. DOT has worked with Feadship on a multi-year basis across yacht launches, refits and company events.

How do you film a yacht launch you cannot reshoot?

A launch happens once, and the date is known well in advance, which is exactly why the preparation is where the work sits. Positions and coverage are agreed before the day because they cannot be changed during it, and there is no second take.

What does a brand film like this cost?

A brand film from DOT runs €5.500 to €50.000. A multi-year partnership is scoped per production rather than as a single figure. Our price bands are published for every service.
