The Set Company builds retail experiences and brand installations for clients including Cartier and Tommy Hilfiger. The film needed to match that standard; not just visually, but in what it said about who they are and where they're going.

DOT came in as both creative agency and production partner, developing a documentary-style brand film from concept through to delivery. Rather than a standard corporate showreel, the approach was narrative-led: rooted in the pride of the makers on the floor and the company's ambition for what comes next. High-end cinematography and documentary framing turned an internal story into something with genuine emotional weight.

The result positions The Set Company not just as a set builder, but as a visionary partner in retail brand experience; a distinction that matters when you're speaking to global luxury clients and trying to retain the people who make the work possible.

AFAS Live — High-Impact Venue Storytelling View case

AFAS Live isn't just an event venue. It's one of Amsterdam's largest live entertainment spaces — defined by energy, scale, and the particular atmosphere that only exists when thousands of people gather for something that matters. Capturing that on film means going beyond a standard walkthrough; it means making someone feel it before they arrive.

For AFAS Live's 2025/2026 season, DOT developed a venue brand film series with each video given a distinct role and a specific audience in mind. Rather than a single all-purpose film, the content was built as a system: consistent in visual language, varied in perspective and purpose. Movement, timing, and framing carry the storytelling weight. Together the videos build one coherent picture of what AFAS Live is, and why it's worth being there.

Paul Meijering — Crafting a Visual DNA View case

The steel industry isn't known for standout visual content. That's exactly the opportunity.

DOT's collaboration with Paul Meijering began in 2022 with an FPV drone film — a production that moved through the company at speed, communicating scale and ambition in a way the sector hadn't really seen before. It immediately set Paul Meijering apart as a visually distinctive, forward-thinking player in a traditionally conservative industry.

That first production became the foundation for a long-term B2B video partnership. Working closely with the Paul Meijering team, DOT developed their full visual identity system: a consistent, recognisable style built around their core values of quality, reliability, expertise, and scale. The result is a body of work that functions as a strategic B2B tool; building trust and relevance with clients and partners through confident, clear visual communication.

Pelican Rouge — A Brand Film That Makes a Rebrand Feel Real View case

Rebranding a heritage brand is one of the hardest creative briefs there is. The new direction has to feel genuinely new, or the investment means nothing. But it has to feel continuous, or the credibility that comes with decades of history gets discarded along with the old logo.

When Pelican Rouge — the heritage Dutch coffee brand owned by Selecta — launched a full rebrand in late 2022, including a certified sustainable line of 20 new blends, they needed a single brand film to carry the weight of both. New enough to signal a real shift, but grounded enough to honour what existing customers already trusted. DOT wrote the concept and led the full production.

The creative decision at the centre of this rebrand launch film was simple: don't explain Pelican Rouge's values. Show them. The craftsmanship, the sourcing, the roasting process: all of it visible on screen rather than stated in a voiceover. In 2023, sustainability as a brand claim was already under scrutiny, so only content that earns trust in that environment is content that shows the reality behind the certification.

Ploum — Employer Branding for Next-Gen Legal Talent View case
Trustearned through storytelling

Law firms compete for the same small pool of high-potential graduates every year. The strongest candidates aren't just choosing a salary or a practice area; they're choosing a culture, a city, a version of their professional future. And they're making that choice based on what they can see.

Ploum's legal reputation is built on decades of excellent work. Their culture — Rotterdam roots, genuine collegiality, expertise recognised at the highest levels — was real and distinct. But it wasn't visible enough. DOT was brought in to change that.

Employer brand video for professional services has a well-documented failure mode: glass-fronted offices, confident people in expensive suits, copy about dynamic teams and exciting opportunities. None of it differentiates. The brief for Ploum was different because the firm is different, and the content had to reach an audience with strong instincts for authenticity and equally strong defences against anything that feels manufactured.

DOT took ownership from concept to distribution: a hero recruitment film built to make the right graduate stop scrolling, a brand photography suite produced alongside it using the same locations and visual language, and platform-first cutdowns for LinkedIn, Instagram, and job boards — rethought, not just resized. The people are the story. When real individuals speak honestly about a real culture, the content earns trust that a polished promotional film never could.

Rompslomp — Content for an Audience That Hates Being Marketed To View case

Freelancers don't want to be marketed to. They're independent by nature and have finely tuned instincts for anything that feels like a brand trying to own their attention. Which makes Rompslomp's challenge a genuinely interesting one: how do you build a brand relationship with an audience that actively resists brand relationships?

Rompslomp provides accounting software for freelancers in the Netherlands. The answer DOT and Rompslomp arrived at together: stop trying to market to them. Start trying to be useful to them.

DOT built an always-on video and podcast partnership around two formats. The Rompslomp Podcast gives the brand space to talk about what actually matters to freelancers; tax, administration, the particular anxiety of working for yourself, without a product pitch in sight. The video case studies go further: not testimonials, which freelancers distrust, but mini-documentaries about real people building real working lives.

Each hero piece generates a full content package: social cutdowns for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, quote cards, behind-the-scenes content. Content that compounds across the calendar rather than spending itself in a launch week.
